With "Morgan Freeman’s Symphonic Blues Experience", the Oscar-winning Hollywood actor brings a long-held passion project to life: a musical tribute to the history and legacy of Mississippi Delta blues. As producer, Freeman helped shape the album’s artistic vision, blending classic blues traditions with orchestral arrangements by Martin Gellner – who has previously collaborated with Hans Zimmer – and the Chineke! Orchestra. Recorded in Memphis and at London’s iconic Abbey Road Studios, the album features celebrated blues artists including Taj Mahal, Keb’ Mo’, Shemekia Copeland, and Alvin Youngblood Hart, creating a compelling fusion of authentic blues and symphonic grandeur.
