Release date: 6 November 2026

A jazz milestone returns to vinyl - exclusively at the JazzEcho Store: To mark Verve's 70th anniversary, "Clifford Brown – The EmArcy Master Takes" arrives as an 8-LP collector's box. First released in 2009 as a 4-CD set, the collection brings together all 49 master takes from his legendary EmArcy sessions of 1954–1956, for classic albums like "Clifford Brown & Max Roach", "Study In Brown" and "Clifford Brown With Strings". With his radiant tone and virtuosity, the trumpeter shaped hard bop like few others. His partnership with Max Roach produced timeless recordings before a car accident tragically ended his life at just 25. The original CD edition's booklet is also included, featuring an extensive essay by Grammy-winning author Francis Davis, detailed track notes and rare photographs.
