"Twio" was the title of the fifth studio album by American tenor saxophonist Walter Smith III, released in February 2018. The title was a playful portmanteau of "trio" and "two." For his third Blue Note album, he revisits this concept, presenting a highly successful album of classic jazz pieces brimming with swinging energy. The album features a new lineup including bassist Joe Sanders and drummer Kendrick Scott, as well as guest appearances by jazz legends Ron Carter on bass and Branford Marsalis on tenor saxophone.
